Well, that was fun. I upgraded two machines to Snow Leopard 10.6.2 and they couldn't see each other. No pings, no ssh access, no web access. I spent the morning trying to work out how to fix it. However I had a Ubuntu box that could access both computers. Odd. I got as far as finding out that it only affected connections over the local network. It also seemed to be some kind of DNS problem.

Then I had my bright idea. "Lets try resetting the router." And it worked...!

So this is a post that will help you save your Sunday mornings...
